From the perspective of promoting the industrialization of transgenic technology, the paper summarized the legislation and implementation status of national laws and rules on transgenic biosafety administration in the world, reviewed the construction progress of laws and rules system on transgenic biosafety administration in China, analyzed the main problems in Chinese laws and rules system construction on transgenic biosafety administration and put forward the corresponding policy proposals.

Next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies are developed and improved quickly these years as a powerful alternative to genomics researches. NGS platforms have been used more and more for the de novo sequencing of crops or plants genomes in recent years. In this review, we outline some important crops de novo genome assembly projects for which NGS technologies are used as an important part, in order to show the important potential that NGS technologies are expected to advance crop genetics and breeding, leading to crop improvement.
• The Formation Mechanism and Role of Bacterial Magnetosomes and its Applications

We reviewed the progress of magnetosomes biosynthesis mechanism and its application. Magnetosomes formation is involved in magnetosomes membrane formation, iron absorption and transport, magnetic crystals biomineralization and magentosomes chain-like assembly, etc. In the past decade, two remarkable achievements have been realized, one is that magnetosome vesicles are invaginations from plasma membranes, and the other is that MamK as magnetosomes filament interacts with MamJ resulting in maintanance of magnetosomes queue to chain in cells. We suggested that the Fe³⁺/Fe²⁺ couple act as O₂ /H₂O capture electronic to generate energy and form Fe₃O₄ to eliminate reactive oxygen species (ROS) produced by Fenton reaction under low oxygen and high iron stress conditions. One of roles of the magnetosomes is to reduce the intracellular ROS.

Myxobacteria is the “higher microbe” in Prokaryote which endows a gliding ability and exhibits a complicate muticellular development life similar to Eukaryote.The reaseach of the process of muticelluar development is always the focus point in myxobacteria. Recently, emergence of more and more new theorys on muticellular life of myxobacter enlightens us deeply. This paper provides an overview of motility type, the mechanism of the gliding motilily and the motility regulation systems in model strain Myxococcus xanthus. Futhurmore, we make a initial elucidation for the regulation of the signal transmission in the process of the fruiting body fomation so as to lay a foundations for the deeper research of the regulation process in their complicate development life.
• T-type Calcium Channel and Breast Cancer

T-type calcium channel is a voltage-dependent calcium channel, with a low activation potential, fast inactivation and small single-channel conductance. It has high tissue specificity, highlighting physiological functions and pharmacology. Recent studies show that T-type calcium channel is involved in intracellular calcium flow oscillation and the process of tumor cell proliferation by unique activation and inactivation. It is note worthy that there is no expression of these channels in normal human mammary epithelial cells, but the distribution in different differentiation stages of breast cancer cells is amazing. The experiments confirmed that expression of T-type calcium channel is positively correlated with the proliferation of breast cells, and the channel blocker can reduce the breast cancer cells proliferation significantly. This discovery provides a new way to think about diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and drug development. This article outlines the recent research about T-type calcium channel and the breast cancer.

Poly γ-glutamic acid (γ-PGA) is a naturally occurring poly amino acids with characteristics of water solubility, biocompatibility, biodegradability and non-toxicity towards human and the environment. Thus, it can be used as a green and environmental friendly biological material. γ-PGA and its derivatives offer a wide range of applications in medicine including being used as drug carriers, vaccine adjuvant, biological adhesives, tissue engineering materials and so on. These new complex and tissue engineering materials exhibit excellent biocompatibility, lower toxicity, high drug target-orientation and good drug efficacy which make it a broad application prospect. These applications of γ-PGA in medicine are reviewed in this article to give some references for the further research and commercial uses.
• Generation and Molecular Identification of Transgenic Rice Lines with Over-expressed OsBTF3 Gene

The transgenic rice lines were generated with over-expressed OsBTF3, which can further be used not only for functional analysis of OsBTF3 gene in biotic and abiotic stress resistance and growth and development, but also for evaluation of its potential use in genetic improvement of agronomic trails of rice. The generation of OsBTF3 gene overexpression construct, Agriobacterium-mediated transformation of callus tissues, Hyg^R screening, regeneration of transgenic plants and PCR validation were conducted. Through Agrobacterium-mediated rice transformation method, 97 transgenic lines of T₀ generation and 20 transgenic lines of T₁ generation were successfully generated and validated respectively. The transcription of OsBTF3 in 5 transgenic lines of T₁ generation is significantly higher than the control plants with average of 3.58 times. OsBTF3 gene was successfully overexpressed under the control of 35S promoter resulting in significant changes in growth and development, biotic and abiotic stress resistance in the transgenic rice lines that were generated in this study.
• Comparison of Two Methods to Detect Vibrio Parahaemolyticus in Seafood

Vibrio parahaemolyticus in 50 groups of seafood samples were detected by GB/T4789.7-2008 and chromogenic medium+API20E method respectively in order to compare the traditional method with the rapid detection method. The results showed that two methods were highly consistent that the Vibrio Parahaemolyticus was detected in sample S006, S043 with detection rate of 4% while the other samples were not detected the same bacteria.Chromogenic medium+API20E method was superior to the traditional method in the detection time and the operation steps.
• Effects of Different Temperature on Growth and Physiological Biochemical Compositions of Nitzschia palea

Effects of temperature on growth and physiological biochemical compositions of Nitzschia palea are researched. The results indicate that it is unfavorable for the cell growth and accumulation of the intracellular biochemical compositions when the temperature is 10℃ or 30℃. The cell density and contents of the chlorophyll, the intracellular protein, the extracellular polysaccharide and the intracellular polysaccharide reach maximum at 20℃. The optimal growth temperature of Nitzschia palea under the experimental conditions is 20℃. Nitzschia palea can be preserved at 10℃.

Next generation sequencing technology is bringing huge amount of data to bioinformatics investigators. How to process these data effectively and timely, becomes a hot topic due to its importance to subsequent researches, such as transcriptome study, gene expression study etc. This paper discusses the state of the art of RNA sequencing data analysis, and discloses a data analysis service platform on top of that, which is built on elastic cloud computing technology. The platform integrates abundant software, employs high availability, high security design, provides both cost effective and high performance computing services to end users.

The research and application of DNA recombination technology, i.e. DNA cloning technology is an important branch of the development of modern biology and outstanding area of molecular biology. The paper started from the types and the related biological concepts of DNA recombination, summarized the traditional digestion-ligation classical cloning method, site-specific recombination cloning method and homologous recombination cloning method had been reported at present. The aspects of respective principles, steps, characteristics and practical applications were focused on. Finally, an induction of respective merits and drawbacks and application scopes of these methods and the review for achievements and the prospect for future were described.
