Research Progress of Aspergillus niger in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Food and Feed

Abstract:

Aspergillus niger is an important industrial microorganism with strong enzyme secretion ability and biotransformation characteristics, which has shown extensive potential in the fields of traditional Chinese medicine, food and feed. At present, the industrial application of Aspergillus niger existes multiple bottlenecks such as unclear enzyme production efficiency, fermentation processes requires optimization, and poor cross disciplinary adaptability, meanwhile faces challenges such as technical research and development barriers and limited public awareness. The review summarized the research progress and application status of Aspergillus niger in traditional Chinese medicine, food, and feed, and looked forward to future research directions, in order to provide theoretical basis for further research and application of Aspergillus niger in fermentation related fields.
