Mineral elements play an important physiological role in almost all life activities of livestock and poultry, such as growth and development, metabolism, nerve activity, immune function, endocrine, etc. They are divided into major elements such as calcium, phosphorus, sodium and magnesium, and trace elements such as iron, manganese, cobalt and copper. Inadequate intake or excessive accumulation of certain mineral elements in the body and imbalance between mineral elements will cause serious consequences. With the intensive and large?scale development of livestock and poultry breeding industry, the consumption of mineral elements for feeding has increased rapidly, but there are some unreasonable uses, resulting in waste of resources and environmental pollution. Therefore, on the premise of meeting the nutritional requirements of livestock and poultry, rational use of mineral element dosage forms and dosage to reduce the emission of mineral elements into the environment through livestock and poultry manure is not only beneficial to the development of intensive livestock and poultry breeding, but also can effectively reduce the heavy metal content in livestock and poultry manure, provide excellent organic fertilizer sources for planting industry, maintain the balance of ecosystem and promote the sustainable and healthy development of planting and breeding industry. Based on this, taking calcium and phosphorus, which are major elements with the highest content in livestock and poultry, and trace elements as the breakthrough point, the application status of feeding mineral elements, basic requirements and appropriate adding range of mineral elements of livestock and poultry were introduced, the development and application progress of new feeding trace elements was emphatically summarized, and the feasibility and effectiveness of dynamic feeding mode of mineral elements was discussed, in order to provide reference for rational utilization of mineral elements resources and further solving environmental pollution caused by livestock and poultry mineral elements in global ecological agriculture research.

Salmon and trout are typical cold water fishes with high economic value and broad market prospect, and they are one of the important economic fishes in the world. In recent years, salmon and trout farming in China has been developing vigorously, with the increasing output and scale, and the continuous innovation of farming mode. At the same time, the outbreak of epidemic diseases of salmon and trout has become increasingly frequent everywhere, and there is still a big gap between the disease prevention and control system in China and those in major producing countries such as Norway and Chile, which seriously restricts the healthy development of the industry. Based on this, the research results on the symptoms and conditions of the main epidemic diseases of salmon and trout caused by bacteria, viruses and other pathogens were summarized, the corresponding diagnostic techniques were systematically introduced, and the domestic immune prevention and control measures of salmon and trout was focused on, in order to provide researchers with systematic basic knowledge, common detection techniques and immune prevention and control measures of common epidemic diseases of salmon and trout, and provide reference for practitioners and researchers to prevent and control salmon and trout diseases.

Veterinary diagnostic industry which mainly offer service for the animal disease control and prevention, is a multidisciplinary partnership, technology and capital intensive industry. Not only in the experiences and technology but also in the amount and quality of the products, veterinary diagnostic industry in China is far behind international veterinary diagnostic industry. This paper reviewed the development status, challenges and future perspective of the veterinary diagnostic industry internal and international, in order to offer references and suggestions for development of this industry in China.

2021, 11 (4): 476-482. DOI: 10.19586/j.2095-2341.2021.0053
Abstract1681)   HTML14)    PDF (661KB)(571)

MyostatinMSTN) is a negative regulator of skeletal muscle development, which is highly conserved among different species. Animal individuals with abnormally developed muscles can be obtained by natural mutation or manipulation of the gene by gene editing technology. Studies have shown that MSTN gene mutation can affect muscle development through various regulatory approaches. Therefore, the mechanism of MSTN mutation promoting muscle development was reviewed from five aspects, such as myoblast proliferation, differentiation, protein synthesis and catabolism, histone modification and macrophage polarization, in order to provide reference for the production of new materials for agricultural animal breeding and the treatment of major cachexia.
