Abstract: With the growing demand of resources such as oil which was scarce and non-renewable, industrial applications using renewable materials has become an inevitable trend. Based on the status, one of the most abundant polymers——nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC) that from natural cellulose has become one of the most promising materials. The article reviewed the progress of the emerging nanomaterial, focused on the history of cellulose and the structure and morphology of nanocrystalline cellulose. The article also introduced the challenges in the production of nanocrystalline cellulose, which was expected to provide reference for research, development and application of NCC.

摘要: 随着对石油等稀缺、不可再生资源替代品需求的日益增长,工业应用中使用可再生材料已成为必然趋势。基于这种现状,源自天然纤维素的一种最丰富的高聚物——纳米晶体纤维素(NCC),就成为最有前途的材料之一。概述了这种新兴的纳米复合材料的研究进展,重点介绍了其原材料的发展历程以及纳米晶体纤维的结构和形态,同时介绍了生产NCC所面临的挑战,以期为NCC的研发和应用提供参考。
